Animal Behavior Society offers Developing Nations Research Grant to provide financial support for scientific studies of animal behavior. These grants are available for ABS Society student members as well as established researchers who are conducting research at an institution in a developing nation. The research grants are available for the duration of one year. To avail this opportunity students must have paid their society dues prior to 8 January 2013 and must apply for grant prior to 11 January 2013.

Eligibility: The funds are intended to provide financial support for scientific studies of animal behavior conducted by current Animal Behavior Society student members, as well as more established researchers, who are residents of a developing nation and are conducting research at an institution in a developing nation. (Please note that developing nation student members of ABS are also eligible to apply for the annual Student Research Grants Competition, and are eligible to receive both a Developing Nations Research grant and a Student Research Grant, but not in the same year.)

Scholarship Description: ABS announces the annual Developing Nations Research Grant Competition. The funds are intended to provide financial support for scientific studies of animal behavior conducted by current Animal Behavior Society student members, as well as more established researchers, who are residents of a developing nation and are conducting research at an institution in a developing nation.

Duration of award(s): Grants are awarded for research to be conducted within a 1-year period from the date of receipt of this grant.

How to Apply: Applications are to be submitted by post.

Scholarship Application Deadline: This grant site is scheduled to open on Sunday, 4 November 2012 and will close on Friday, 11 January 2013 (midnight, Eastern Standard Time). Students who have paid their society dues in full prior to Tuesday, 8 January 2013 will be eligible to submit a grant application.
